  Maxine Louise (Evenson) Long, 84, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, at Solvay Hospice House, Duluth, Minn.

  Maxine was conceived Feb. 18, 1934, to Harold and Borghild (Myrmel) Evenson in Cloquet, Minn.

  When she was a young lady she moved with her folks and sister to International Falls, Minn.

  She adored recounting accounts of her youth encounters with companions and of days on Rainy Lake with her folks.

  Maxine wedded Arnold John Long on Oct. 6, 1956, at Zion Lutheran Church in International Falls.

  Maxine and Arne gave an adoring home to their family in the numerous lovely places they lived amid Arne's profession in the National park Service.

  Maxine working on nursing with empathy and honesty in a large number of those equivalent spots. She offered her aptitudes and information to Spooner Hospital, Spooner, Wis., for more than 25 years.

  Following retirement, she served on the healing facility board, the clinic morals council, and in humanitarian effort.

  Maxine's neighborliness included furnishing innumerable dinners at her table with family and companions. She valued and shared Norwegian formulas from her mom and relative.

  Maxine cherished music and played violin with a gathering in Spooner and with the Red Cedar Symphony.

  Maxine cherished the characteristic world and delighted in investing energy with Arne biking, kayaking, outdoors, climbing, snowshoeing, and crosscountry skiing.

  One of her most noteworthy delights was investing energy with family at her darling Rainy Lake.

  To praise her profound Norwegian roots, Maxine made a trip to Norway on two events. She cherished her more distant family and was tenacious in staying in contact through cards and letters.

  She made it a need to visit her grandkids and extraordinary grandkids of whom she was so pleased. She went to huge numbers of their changed exercises.

  Sanctified through water into the Christian confidence as a baby, Maxine was a deep rooted Lutheran. Her confidence was immovable and beyond any doubt. She cherished her Spooner assembly, Trinity Lutheran Church.
