Dear 玉芬,I really enjoy reading all the emails and pictures sent by you and others. Thanks so much for doing this. I also listened your music almost everyday for the last few weeks. Thanks so much for this also.Attached please find two pictures for you to send around. I will not be able to join you folks for this reunion; however, I will try to catch up with many of you when I get a chance to visit some of the places listed in our contact sheet. I also welcome surprised phone calls and visits from many of you. Below is my life experience during last thirty years:After I graduated from NYU Zoology, I obtained a Ph.D. (molecular neurobiology from Univ of Conn). Later I became a Family Nurse Practitioner (3 years of schooling at Yale and 2 years of practice) after several years of post-doctoral positions: Washington University at Neurobiology, Yale cytogenetics, and back to University of Connecticut Neurobiology as a post-doc when I found out I was pregnant with my son more than 16 years ago. Right now I am quite busy as a working mother with a son 15 yo and a daughter 11yo. When my children were young (6 and 2 yo), I followed my husband to work at Pfizer Beijing, China for two years to develop herbal extracts as prescription drugs. After our company closed our herbal program 6 years ago, I become Clinical Pharmacologist working at Pfizer New York. My daughter is quite active and fresh—has three boy friends already, phones were ringing all day long. I need to follow her a lot to ensure things are getting done…. My son is a 10th grader and taking many national tests—SATs, APs, and school work…like the days we were in BEINU… Sometimes I have to tell him to put things in prospective… My husband travels a bit and he is always telling me that he has a more stressful job, he did not like me yelling at kids to move them in actions; however, sometimes that is all the energy I have left. I plan to visit Taiwan in Feburary each year and will definitely catch up with your folks at that time. Best wishes,Kuan-yun
