expect, anticipate, look forward to

"期待、預期"的用法與比較
expect to VR
= anticipate +Ving  
= look forward to +Ving

1. You can expect to be punished if you skip class.
2. Are you afraid that you cannot meet the expectations of your  parents and teachers?
3. We anticipate great pleasure from our visit to London.
4. We anticipate hearing from you again.
5. The students are looking forward to the summer vacation.
6. John is looking forward to getting a promotion next month.

1. 你如果曠課的話,那就等著受罰吧。
2. 你害怕無法達到父母和師長的期望嗎？
3. 我們期待倫敦之行過得非常愉快。
4. 我們期待再接到你們的來信。
5. 學生們正盼望著暑假。

  注:寫信/會話時,期望對方回覆或出現,常用                             look forward to (doing)~表示
   I am looking forward to hearing from you.
   「我期盼你的回信。」
