Professor Eno:
How is everything? I am Clio, the audience who asked you questions in the end of your presentation on 《上博•五》 in the 簡帛 symposium held at Taiwan University on November 11, 2007.
The people in charge dispensed the copies of the presenters at noon, soon after your presentation was over on that day, so I have already got your written materials. Even so, I would be glad if you send me your email file. This is because it will be even easier for me to highlight the parts to which I feel like making reaction and then email them to you. I will not have to input again what I want to express.
Besides, there are no extended meanings when I say to you “Thank you.”, “I’m sorry.” and “Let me help you with …,” etc. Similarly, I hope that you will not show your kindness by saying “Thank you.”, “I’m sorry.” and “Let me help you with …” with extended meanings. If you do this, all my enemies can mimic you and pretend to be my friends in the same way. And then I will be confused and unable to distinguish which one is my friend and which one is my enemy.
Finally, there is one thing on which I have to place emphasis: the content mentioned above can apply to Professor Eno only. I will reject anyone who tries to turn out to be my “ally” or “friend” by taking advantage of the content of this letter or by making friends with you.
Best Wishes.
