Theme: Let's Talk
Taiwan embodies traditional and contemporary, eastern and western cultures. From the high-tech industrial products to the locally originated handcraft, this place has fostered a design community with great variety.
The starting point of Taiwan Designers' Week came from a group of designers who would like to establish a platform for sharing ideas and inspirations, hence connecting designers around the world. Therefore we set up the theme of our first trial as "Let's Talk", aiming to spread out the seeds of conversations between designers, general public, enterprises and other creative communities. We also hope the dialogues will continue to bridge the gap for people in different fields and different parts of the world.
The format of Taiwan Designers' Week 2007 includes a main exhibition, open house events, seminars and other exhibitions in participating design spots, as well as the exclusive designer stationery sold in 7-11 stores.
