12 dog cycle (Alice Hui-Sheng Chang張惠笙 + Nigel Brown)
Alice Hui-Sheng Chang (Taiwan) and Nigel Brown (Australia) create sound in performance and recordings as 12 dog cycle. They pair the breathing limitations of piano accordion and human voice, extending the voice through extreme unconventional technique and the accordion’s acoustic properties with live electronic manipulation.
In performance, accordion tones borrowing from the drone and minimalist pattern music traditions fill and modulate the space inhabited by the audience. The sound begins as a physical byproduct of the performer’s exertion, but over time becomes a disembodied harmonic presence within the room. In contrast, the voice is mobile and distinctly human. While the accordion defines and modulates the performance space, the voice is the event; the tour guide through time that provides the audience with an entrance and an exit.   

12 dog cycle
是由台灣的張惠笙和澳洲的 Nigel Brown 一同創作的表演及錄音系列。他們以手風琴和人聲共同的呼吸循環限制為基礎，將人類的聲音延伸至非傳統的技巧，也將手風琴的響音特質加入電腦現場的控制。
手風琴從持續響音與極簡的聲音傳統模式中，帶出其表演聲調，將觀眾佔據的空間作進一步的填滿與調整變化。聲音從表演者所創造的單純物理性質，經由時間的過渡，轉為空間中無實質性的諧音狀態。相對的，移動性的表演人聲帶出人的存在。手風琴劃出表演場域並將其調變，人聲成為場地中的發聲事件。演出者對於時間的引導帶給觀眾一個入口亦是一道出口。

Hui-Chun Lin
She ist a Solo cellist, improvisation, theatrical music, world music, contemporary music interpretation.
Born in 1979 in Taiwan. She plays violoncello, on which she received a classical education. Since 2006 she finished her study in Leipzig Germany, she lives also in the same city as cello player and artist.
Her artistic versatility appears in the co-operation in numerous projects with theatre, dance performance, contemporary and classical music and also world music.
She worked together with " Yo-Yo MA and Silk Road ensemble ” in the Carnegie Hall, New York in September 2006.
She had appearances with different music festivals as well like: the Leipzig Jazz Festival 2007 with Beat Freisens Spelunkenorchester.
After her postgraduate study in improvisation she received a teaching assignment for improvisation in the college for music and theatre in Leipzig.

林惠君
主修大提琴,出生於1979年臺灣高雄,1999-2004年就讀德勒司登音樂院主修大提琴演奏，事師Peter Bruns教授,2004-2006年就讀萊比席音樂戲劇院主修音樂即興，事師Tilo Augsten從事大提琴的現代音樂獨奏、室內樂以及音樂即興,2006年起於萊比席音樂戲劇院任教音樂即興
默劇電影即興獨奏會：2005年於女姓影展開幕展演“a florida enchantment”，於臺北德國文化中心展演“星期天的人們”,擔任德國德勒思登國家劇院客席大提琴家演出劇碼“梅菲司特”、“聖誕之歌”舞臺音樂劇：萊比席的“Hallraum Leipzig”，以及柏林的“Multikulti Tango”,2006年九月受邀參加大提琴家馬友友與絲路樂團的研習營，紐約卡內基音樂廳展演擔任萊比席新音樂樂團(Ensemble Leipzig21)大提琴首席;指揮：Hannes Pohlis,多次在臺灣與德國舉辦個人獨奏會。
